Early life and background

Born in Ottawa to Greek parents, Katrella is Greek-Canadian. Family influence and early exposure to club culture sparked her interest in DJing. She started performing locally as a teenager and developed a sound that blends house, tech-house, and modern electronic production. In 2017 she moved to Miami to expand her career and build a platform for emerging artists.

Career

DJ career

Katrella’s sets emphasize groove, pacing, and a clean, driving low-end that keeps dance floors moving from start to finish. Over the years, she has performed at major music festivals and large-scale events across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia — including Escapade Music Festival, RBC Bluesfest, LaLa Land, and Future Oasis Thailand.

Now based in Miami, she has appeared at renowned venues such as Treehouse, M2, and Mode, curating immersive lineups and presenting label-adjacent showcases under her brand Industry³.

Throughout her career, Katrella has shared stages with some of the biggest names in electronic music — including Tiësto, Hardwell, Bassjackers, Borgeous, Will Sparks, Alan Walker, and Green Velvet , and many more —bridging club intensity with polished storytelling and a signature sound rooted in house and tech house culture.

Music production

Since 2017, Katrella has released originals, remixes, and edits with DJ-ready arrangements and melodic hooks. Her catalog includes work with Sirup Music, Enormous Tunes, Carousel Muzik, and Industry³ Records. Selected tracks cited in prior materials include “Find Our Way” (2017), “Till the Morning” (2018), and “In This Together” (2020). Moreover, new studio work continues to focus on peak-time energy and set-tested structures.

Event organization

As a curator and producer, Katrella leads Industry³. Flagship events include CTRL ROOM at M2 Miami and the monthly REBOOT series at Mode. The event vision centers on intentional lineups, high-fidelity sound, and meaningful opportunities for rising talent. Consequently, community building and long-term development sit at the core of each show.

Radio and media

Early radio (Ottawa). At 19, Katrella hosted a five-hour live DJ mix show on Jump 106.9 (Corus), developing on-air skills and audience rapport.

Miami connection and transition. During a visit at age 20, she met morning host Doktor Grimm at what was then Evolution 93.5 (later Revolution 93.5). A guest mix led to recurring morning features; when the station became independently owned and operated, she relocated to Miami in 2017.

The Source with Brainchild & Katrella. After touring that summer, she launched The Source with Brainchild & Katrella on Revolution 93.5, airing weekdays 1:00–3:00 PM. The program mixed music, culture, and conversation and became a recognized platform in Miami’s dance community.

Club–radio crossover. In parallel, she held a Treehouse Miami residency and founded Industry Thursdays, which she curated and produced. Partnering with Revolution 93.5, she created a monthly crossover event where local DJs performed live and received on-air exposure, connecting club culture to broadcast audiences.

Ongoing relationship. Katrella continues to appear on Revolution 93.5 in mixes and features tied to Miami’s house community.
